If you are an
internet enthusiast, I suppose you want to know, which one will give you more advantages. DSL or cable modem? I won't recommend any, but I'll help you to evaluate the two.
Cable modem network is commonly used at home. It is because cable modem sends the internet messages through the cable used for your
television set. This set up gives more advantage to cable modem providers, because they need no extra service expenses, and the unutilized bandwidth can be used for internet access. However, subscribers within the place are depending on the similar cable wire to get to internet. And, if many subscribers connect to the web and share with the same bandwidth, the usual result is slowing down of internet access and long upload/download time.
DSL on the other hand, is quite faster than cable modem. It uses community telephone lines to connect to the web. It provides the same internet speed even if there many users are connecting to the world wide web. However, unless you live near the
DSL provider's location, your connection speed to the internet will get affected.
