
Internet browsers are different from Internet search engines. Whereas an Internet browser is a software
application run by the computer to access web pages, an Internet search-engine is a web-based tool for searching desired websites or URLs given a certain keyword of phrase. Thus, Windows Internet Explorer, Mozilla Fire Fox, and Opera are examples of Internet browsers. On the other hand, Yahoo, Google, MSN are example of Internet search engines. Most Internet
browsers, most especially the Microsoft Windows-based browsers require license fee while others such as Linux-based browsers are mostly free for public use. Nonetheless, such free Internet browsers have limitations and disadvantages.
